Purple Romance

I know I mentioned in the video, in the info box, but I still like to say one more time, I did this look for attending my friend's wedding.

Since, I pretty much described the products in the info box, I thought I share my thoughts on the products, i.e reviewing them.

1) Benefit Porelessional
This is my first wax based makeup primer, which I think is a lot better than the makeup base, the kind which has different color tones to correct your skin color and comes with SPF, which was rather popular a few years back.
Because of its wax content, it makes the makeup sweat and sebum proof. My face looked less oily and my makeup stayed up longer. My sister who has dry skin, has no problem using it, but do moisturizer your face before applying.

2) Lancome Tient Miracle Foundation + Makeup Show Flat Top Foundation Brush
This is so gonna be my favorite foundation if not for the fact that it doesn't come with lots of shades. I had to take the PO-03, which is the lightest pink shade, and it kinda looked ridiculously on me because my neck is so dark.  Now I don't really care about the "Must match neck colour" coz I get dark easily now these days (What's up with the Singapore sun?) I just use whenever I feel like using it. On a sidenote, my Armani foundation which used to be so dark for turned out to be perfect shade for me now. Even my Bobbi Brown is light for me... Must get fairer!!!

Anyway, reasons for liking it was because I don't feel a thing on my face!!! It makes my skin looked damn good too! I think these 2 reasons are enough for me to like it... Other plus points, it is very easy to apply, despite being so watery, people with dry skin or combination skin can use it.

Can see my face is a little fairer than my neck.
And if u thinking why the top is different from the vid, it's because I changed another outfit after the makeup.

I bought the makeup brush coz it was round. It was pretty stiff at first but after a few applications and washes, it got seasoned and now it is my favorite brush to apply foundation. The hair is very soft, and it get into the sides of my nose pretty well.

3) Lancome Maquicake UV Infinite and TBS Mineral Foundation Brush
I don't like this powder. Period. No matter whether it was applying with brush or sponge, I can feel a thick layer of powder on me, totally different from what they promised, a lightweight foundation. It is a 2-way cake, but I never like water sponging my foundation coz I think it is super dirty. I always use it to cover over my BB cream or Lancome Teint Miracle, lightweight foundation that is. I never tried apply on its own before... hmm.. maybe I should do that and see the effect. Soon soon! Or maybe I use too much??? But I don't think I use that much powder leh...

So, I used it only when I know I had to take photos coz the powder is matt, and matt powder is super good for photos coz it doesn't show shine and makes the face oily. It is sweatproof tho, tried wearing it on a hot day and it didn't budge so much.

I can't mention how many times, but this is my favourite powder brush! It is dense, thick and soft. I can pat it like a sponde and run it on my face like a carpet cleaner. Feels good like a massage. Ha ha. I have a few powder brushes but I keep going back for this one.

4) I Nuovi Eye Base
I bought this because every youtube guru was using an eye primer, so I bought while I was at I Nuovi. I Nuovi is a Singapore homegrown brand. The products apparently had the colours made in France but porduced somewhere la. Need to google more about this coy. Anyway, I quite like the texture, water-to-powder kind. No need to use a lot, coz if use too much, it will look cakey on the eyes.

It does bring out the colour definitely, just see the difference on the colours in this vid and the Vday vid. Looked so much better here, finally bring some grace to this palette.

5) Artistry Silver Makeup Eye and Cheek Palette + Lancome Eyeshadow Brush + in-house dual tips brush+ EcoTools Eyeshadow Brush

The colours need to be showed with help with an eye base, but nonetheless, the power has a nice texture and it doesn't crumble so much.

6) Lancome Waterproof Pencil Eyeliner in Noir
Hmm... a bit hard, need to warm it up before I can draw a smooth line across the eye. It's waterproof, but not sebum proof, so better dust more powder under the eyes to prevent smudging.

7) Lancome Liquid Eyeliner in Noir
Like the pencil, it is just water proof. I expect it to be more potent in its smudge resistant power, but it just go panda eyes on me once my lids is a bit oily. The tip is soft though, pretty easy to control and draw.

8) Maybelline Unstoppable Eyebrow Pencil
Well, just a normal eyebrow pencil. I could do with shadows too, but I'm lazy to use a brush. What I like is the spoolie on the cap so that I can brush my brows. A very common feature in brow pencil.

9) Some cheap eyelash curler I bought donkey years ago, but it is very good for me!
As long as it doesn't bite my lids, is good. I had a free Maybelline eyelash curler which sucks so bad!!!

10) I Nuovi Pro Lash Nu 01 and glue that came with it.
I love this lashes! It is a very natural pair of lash which covers just 3/4 of the eyes. The fibre isn't too stiff and it fits easily to the eyes. However, upon long usage, the bone does go haywire a bit. I reuse it a few times, roughly 4 times.

11) Blush from Artistry and Ecotools Blush Brush
Like the eyeshadow, the texture of the powder is soft and doesn't crumble easily. The color seemed to suit most skin tones but not yellow tones I think.

My favourite blush brush, so soft! Was very tempted to buy the big powder brush of this brand, but a bit too expensive in SG, IMO for something that is so affordable in US.

12) Benefit Bad Gal Lashes
It's not waterproof, but it does give an amazing wing out lashes.

13) Chanel Lipstick in Comedienne
So love this color, matches any eyeshadow colour. Looked good on its own. Love the name even more, coz this is so me.

LOL, my review got shorter and shorter coz I'm tired!! And what a long post! Hope this info is useful for you pple!
